Every March, I get older (because it is my birthday on the 2nd) but this year marks the last of the thirties. A lot of people fear turning 40, but for me it will be a celebration, for when I was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2012 I was informed that roughly 20 per cent of patients survive past the first five years.

Although my cancer experience has been difficult it has caused me to have a different outlook on life. This March I hope to share that experience with you in 39 blog posts at my cancer website whencellsgowrong.com

This will all be in aid of cancer charity Marie Curie and their Great Daffodil Appeal, which will be an opportunity to help many people affected by cancer across the country. By giving a little bit of time to do something I love, we’ll support people living with a terminal illness.

As a cancer patient myself, I know first hand the impact it has on people's lives. But there is still life to be lived and loved ones to remember. I hope you can donate whatever you can, every amount counts, and we can have an enlightening month!
