Making a difference to cancer patients and their families at UCH

Story

Cancer unfortunately touches us all, nothing can prepare people for the news or the impact it will have on family, friends and everyone involved. Team Amplifi are taking part in Wild Warrior – the ultimate eXtreme muddy fun run! - raising money to help the amazing cancer services staff at the University College Hospital, who provide some of the most incredible cancer care for patients and families.

UCH treated over 25,000 people of all ages for cancer in 2016, delivered over 29,000 chemotherapy treatments, 6,000 cancer surgeries, which demonstrates the crucial role UCH plays in the fight against cancer.

Funds raised by Team Amplifi will be supporting UCH’s Art of Life Anti-Boredom project, run by Dr Lizzie Burns which is funded solely through charitable giving. This project offers much needed mental stimulation for patients, especially those in hospital for long periods of time or with poor prognosis. Sessions can help reduce symptoms, make patients feel calmer, more relaxed, and importantly provide a distraction from their treatment

This is a great cause, so please give what you can.

Thank you!
