Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity funds 3 helicopters serving West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire & Welsh borders. Funded entirely by the public, it receives no Government or Lottery funding. £6 million is needed each year to keep it operational.

This is an amazing Charity run solely on donations and without the Air Ambulance many more lives would of been lost, you never know if the day may come where you/your family/your friend may need it.

I originally set out to raise money solely on running the London Marathon on the 24th April 2016 but when I phoned the Air Ambulance and was told about them celebrating 25 Years of service this year I instantly thought 'well how about 25 challenges' one for each year, all completed within 2016.

I've always tried to do a bit of running but between having children its always faded. I started a couch to 10k the end of May 2015 and have managed to carry on from this. The London Marathon will be my first marathon!! In between my training I am bringing up a family of four young children and working a part time job with a husband who's working full time, every free minute that I'm not running around after children or working then I'm training!!! this is proving to be no easy task.

My Challenges are a combination of mental and physical challenges, I have a fear of heights, speed,  I don't really like being in water if my feet don't touch the floor and I hate getting cold, dirty and wet, I'm far from being an adrenaline junkie.

Members of my family have taken great delight in coming up with the challenges that they know will make me face my fears!!!

My Challenges Are:

12th March - Attingham Park Night Run

13th March - Ironbridge Half Marathon
