As most of you know I believed London 2018 was to be my last marathon.  In December 2018 I had injections in my back and I am delighted to say they have been a success.  This year I have been building up my fitness and increasing my mileage.  To be pain free and able to do what I enjoy and has been a huge part of my life is amazing and I feel very lucky indeed.

It is, therefore a great honour and privilege to have an entry for the Brighton Marathon in April courtesy of  The Bridge Trust.  This is a relatively small, local and independent charity which has helped many thousands of people, with advice, support and importantly, accommodation.  The Trust has raised money to buy and lease properties in  Tonbridge, Southborough, and Tunbridge Wells.  None of us can begin to imagine what it is like to be faced with the prospect of being homeless and the challenges those on the streets face when we are fortunate to be in the secure comfort of our warm homes.
