Story

After taking on the Hadrian's Wall National Trail in August 2016 I really wanted to take on another trek for charity. The South Downs Way is a 100 mile national trail between Winchester and Eastbourne which I will be attempting to walk in just 5 days.

On choosing a charity to support I could not think of a more worthwhile cause than the fantastic Vale Wildlife Hospital, based near Beckford, Worcestershire, who take in and look after injured and sick wildlife without hesitation . Vale had already helped over 1300 animals by March this year and it is looking to be one of the busiest years yet - anything you can spare to sponsor me on this trek will be enormously  helpful and I thank you very much.

About the charity

Vale Wildlife was set up in 1984 to help the many thousands of mammals and birds injured in the UK every year. The main aim is to treat and rehabilitate casualties and release them back into the wild once fully recovered. We have full veterinary facilities within the Hospital. Registered Charity.
