From a toddler I was educated about John Rae. Stories on my father’s knee told us brothers of John Rae’s exploits. His friendships with the Inuit and Cree. How he alone achieved what a huge force was sent to do. Now, I have the honour of being President of The John Rae Society.

Rescuing The Hall of Clestrain, his family home, is so important to me. Just being at the Hall you sense the atmosphere of true history and determined willpower. Let’s save this wonderful building so we can share with the World its wondrous aspects.
