On the 5th Sept Andrew Caple and Seamus MacLoughlin from Connect Group IT will be taking part in the Rat Race Man vs Mountain challenge which will pit us against mother nature in all her glory.
We will face the weather, natural gradients, and the mental challenge of knowing that we will be running 20 miles including a 13 mile ascent from sea level to the summit of Snowdon with 1500m of ascent.
This is a battle against the land, with some Rat-made obstacles thrown in for good measure.
Once we have braved the elements and descended from the summit of Snowdon, we will then face the ‘All Out Vertical Kilometre’, a guided abseil, and a series of land and water based obstacles designed to test what strength remains.
This is not a race for the faint-hearted, so hopefully you will reward our training commitment and  efforts in the race with a donation to Macmillan cancer care.
