Story

I have renamed this page "Help the Theatre Workers" because they all still need our help and things haven't got any better since October...theatre workers are still struggling, possibly even more now than before. Still wanted to keep it in Andrew's name though for the below reasons...

We all know Andrew Scott is a phenomenal actor and a pretty amazing human. He LOVES the theatre and with his birthday coming up I just wanted to do something nice in his name to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY and THANK YOU to him. This charity looks like a lifeline for theatre workers and has Phoebe Waller-Bridge among their amazing list of Vice-Presidents. Dame Judi Dench is President. Even a tiny amount will help the theatre workers in these worrying times.

For every successful theatre worker, there are hundreds of actors, dancers, musicians, lighting technicians, wardrobe staff, front of house, backstage workers who are not so fortunate. Acting for Others is here to provide not only financial but emotional support to all theatre workers in times of need through the 14 member charities. At this difficult time for all, the theatre industry needs you support more than ever. With the closure of theatre, tens of thousands of theatre workers across the UK are facing unemployment and financial uncertainty for a number of months. We thank you all for supporting the theatre community at this time.
