Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page. Charlie our eldest son loved this charity  and had developed a strong connection through his association with Carwarden House Community School, a school for pupils with special educational needs.  He spent many happy Wednesday afternoons with their pupils both at Cawarden and at wellington.   Last year, he went with a team from Wellington and Carwarden on a trip on a tall ship where they worked together putting up sails and enjoying a day on the Solent.  Last Summer, a team from the Stanley House at wellington walked the fourteen peaks in Snowdonia after his GCSE's.  He loved it.  It was one of his highlights of his last summer and through sponsorship they raised money for Autistica. 

In May 2018 Rosie and Andrew and 15 friends ran the Isle of Wight Challenge. For some this meant running 100kms or 60 miles in a day round the whole island. For others this meant running 52 kms or 32 miles. It was a wonderful day in beautiful sunshine but also a LOT of mud.  There were some wonderful stories of determination, perseverance and blisters.  Thank you to all those who ran with us, trained so hard and to the many people who donated. 

In 2019 Rosie and her inseparable running buddy Kate, Andrew and his fellow 'ultra-athlete' friend James are running the London Marathon.  Training is going OK.   We are continuing to raise money for our two nominated charities but in addition we are running in memory of our friend Ruth Strauss who died in December.  Her courage, bravery and positivity are a constant encouragement to us as we train and run the marathon at the end of April.
