Fundraising for Duchenne UK

In June of 2016 I received the news that no parent should ever hear, that one day I will have to bury my son. William was 1 year old when we were told that he had a rare genetic progressive muscle wasting condition called Duchenne Muscular dystrophy, for which there are no treatments and no cure. This condition will slowly rob him of his ability to walk around the age of 10, then move his arms, then breathe and finally it will stop his heart from beating. The average life expectancy up until a couple of years ago was 19. This, the cruelest of conditions, will rob my son, the most beautiful boy in the world, of his childhood then his life.
But there is hope, and at the moment its all we have. Charities set up by desperate parents such as myself have raised money and accelerated research to the point where there are now treatments in clinical trials. Duchenne UK is one such charity, run by parents who are aiming to do big things. But changing the world takes money, as much money as we can possibly throw at it and that's where we come in. I want to raise as much money as possible to help fund research. If scientists can find a way to stop the disease progressing my son may have the opportunity to have a "normal" life, but he and all the other boys like him need it as soon as possible. We are in a race against time. Please help in anyway you can. We can change the world and we can stop this disease and we can save my little boy but I can't do it alone.
