Having never run more than 7 miles, I was inspired to do a half marathon to raise money for the Sandcastle Trust, a fantastic charity that supports families living with a diagnosis of a rare, genetic condition to build lasting, positive family memories and strengthen family relationships.

Having just turned 40, and with three young kids (including a one year old who seems to think our bed is his own) I know that the training for this will be really hard. However, raising money for this fantastic cause will keep me going when the alarm goes off extra early for a training run and so your support really will make a difference to me, but more importantly to this wonderful charity and the families that it supports.
