Story
1 in 30 children are born in the UK with a condition which may affect them for life. Having a sick child or losing a child is something no parent should have to go through, but it happens. This is why I have decided to run the London Marathon in aid of SPARKS and GOSH ( Great Ormond Street Hospital). These 2 fabulous charity which have joined forces to raises money to fund pioneering children’s medical research. Sparks supports clinicians and scientists in order to find cures and treatments to help our children and their parents. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity funds research at both the hospital and in research institutions right across the country. The charity launched an ambitious research strategy last year and is committed to investing in unlocking the big breakthroughs of the future for rare and complex childhood conditions.
I will be training through the winter months, 4 times a week in the cold, dark and wet. I believe running a marathon is not just about running 26.2 miles, it's about giving something back to those worst off than yourself. Many children suffer pain day in day out, I just have to get through one day of pain!
So please support me in my madness and sponser me to complete my marathon and raise some money for this fantastic charity.
