I am running in honor of my friend Shameega Charles who sadly lost her life in the Villaggio shopping mall fire in Doha Qatar, along with 18 others, on 28th May 2012. She was a kindergarten teacher and on that dreadful day she left this Earth comforting some of her students in her arms, leaving behind her own beautiful baby boy. Shameega's son is now being raised by her equally amazing Mom, (aka Mommy M).

On 28th May 2012 this world lost a truly amazing person with one of the most beautiful souls I've ever encountered. It broke my heart. This one's for your baby girl <3
