Story

When I started the charitable project 12 Acts of Kindness 7 months ago, a huge part of the inspiration came from my dad. He had an insatiable love for the world and a fascination for the people that lived in it. Growing up with him as a role model, he inspired me to be more attentive, more thoughtful and more considerate than came naturally to me. In short, he inspired me to be better.

When he was diagnosed with a brain tumour, my world stopped.

I watched as slowly, my hero was taken away from me. His motor functions stopped working, his body deteriorated, his muscle wasted away. It felt like an impossibly cruel end to a life that was cut too short. So this month, the month of his birthday, I am raising money in his memory for the Brain Tumour Charity. Over 5,000 people die every year from brain tumours; the Brain Tumour Charity is funding research with the aim  to double the survival rate and lower the harm caused by brain tumours.

About 12 Acts Of Kindness

Throughout 2016 I am be raising money for 12 different charities. Each month I am fundraising for a different charity, which I feature on my blog, www.annamasters.com. In exchange for your donations, I am giving away an art work.

Here’s how it works:

  • For each £2 donated, you will be entered once into a draw to win an art work – so donate £10 and you’ll get five entries.
  • At the end of the month, I’ll draw a name and get in touch with the winner to arrange delivery.
  • And on my part, I will ensure that the art work you win will be of greater value than the total value of the amount donated. So if we raise £500, the art work on offer will be of a value of over £500.
  • Please make sure that you share your email address when you donate so that I can get in touch with you if you win!

Thank you so much for your generosity.

In memory of my fantastic dad, Tony Masters. Missed every day.
