Having completed my first Half Marathon last year, I have decided to raise the bar and push myself further this year.My challenge this year is to complete the full Run For All Yorkshire Marathon Series, this comprises of 2 Half Marathons, 3 10km races, with the finale being the Yorkshire Marathon in York.
My challenge kicks off on 10 April 2016 with Sheffield Half Marathon, followed by Leeds Half Marathon on 8 May. 19 June is Hull 10km, followed by Leeds 10km on 10 July. York 10km is on 7 August, giving me just 8 weeks to make sure I am fully ready for the Marathon, which will be held in York on 9 October 2016.This year I have decided to fundraise for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and donate the money on behalf of http://www.wolds-gliding.com/, Pocklington, where my husband Mark is currently learning to fly. In support of this, the club have kindly donated a free weekend glider flight.
All you need to do for your chance of winning, is to make a donation to my justgiving page, of the amount of your choice. The winner's name will be drawn out of a hat and announced in November. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a fantastic service, being there 24 hours a day every day, with highly trained people providing expert medical aid to thousands every year.
It costs the Yorkshire Air Ambulance around £12,000 per day to keep their two air ambulances in operation. This is funded by your generous donations. Please help me keep them flying.
