Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello dear family, friends and colleagues.  This is indeed a first for me!  A first serious bike ride and a first time raising money for charity.  My lack of self discipline will be well and truly tested over the next few months as I force myself out of the house or off the couch and onto the bike to gain time and experience in the saddle.  As a mum of two young children and working full-time you can appreciate free time is not aplenty.

In case you're not aware, Myeloma is a type of cancer arising from plasma cells that are normally found in the bone marrow.  It can affect multiple places in the body, hence you may have also heard the term 'Multiple Myeloma'Myeloma UK's ultimate goal is to find a cure and just like at Amgen, patients come first in everything they do.  I've previously never undertaken anything like this as I was always too mortified asking anyone for money.  However, this is a very important fundraising event for Myeloma UK and I really do want to help.

I've been told not to be shy and so I'm stepping out of my comfort zone.  Please help me by donating to my page and in turn you'll be helping Myeloma UK's very worthwhile cause.  If you aren't able to donate, then perhaps you'd like to wish me good luck!

The picture confirms the training has already commenced!! :)
