Oops I am doing it again... I took part to the CEO SleepOut in London last year.

It was a very humbling experience and to quote Joe Cocker a big reminder that it is the simple things like a roof, a warm bed, hot water and food that matter.

My eyes were open all night on the Lord's Cricket Ground, receptive to every tiny noise, as I lay down sleeping in the stalls, the lights of the ground flashing constantly, as if I was in survival mode, and I was taken by surprise early in the morning by the misty rain, yet at the same time feeling grateful to be alive.

It made me realise how someone on the streets must feel, day in day out, fighting for survival.

Never a hot coffee and a bacon sandwich (that I never had had before!) handed over to us felt so good the next day.

I decided that I must do it again as every little helps to help break the cycle of homelessness.

I am therefore raising money for the CEO SleepOut charity who does an amazing job at raising awareness about charities and organising the Sleep Out event https://www.ceosleepoutuk.com/london/ which ultimately will be donated to and evenly split between Toiletries Amnesty and The House of St.Barnabas.

Toiletries Amnesty is a charity recently founded by my friend Karen Harvey teaming up with the CEO Sleep Out this year which aims at tackling hygiene poverty, by supporting homeless shelters, women's refuges and foodbanks across the UK.

The House of St. Barnabas is a social enterprise based in London which relies solely on private donations, no government subventions, that I am a member of. It aims at bringing homeless persons back on track, by providing them the opportunity to gain accredited City & Guild qualifications and a lasting employment.
