Rhys's sister had her first Sports day last year, we took Rhys along and watched from the side. Rhys was clapping frantically at everyone racing and did not stop cheering for everyone all afternoon. At the end of all the races they called for the 'siblings' race. Me and Rhys's mum looked at eachother, i then looked at Rhys and asked "you want to race boy?" "Yaaaay" he shouted. Understanderbly Rhys's mum was reluctant and was adimant he shouldnt because after all everyone was on their feet and was going to be running the race. I couldnt disappoint Rhys after he had such a great afternoon and was getting excited about racing so i carried him to the starting line and when it was time to go we were off. I held my arms round him, kicking his legs forward as if he was running himself.  He was absolutely hysterical all the way, people clapping and cheering him on, he was loving it!!! It was brilliant and both mum and i were mega chuft that we did it. This is what has inspired myself and Kevin Davies to do something with him...not for him...by entering the Superheroes Triathlon on the 19th of August in london. Rhys along with Kevs 'Tough Mudder' experience and me just being dad are going to to take part in a 20k cycle, 5k run and 750metre swim. We are going to give him the experience he has never had and will certainly remember. Hopefully inspiring hope and encourage more people to take part. We want to raise a bit of money fpr cerebra who have supported Rhys with the opportunity of course but more importantly raise awareness for help and support for more SEN kids like Rhys
