Story
Welcome to my fundraising page! I am running the 2026 Scottish Half Marathon for Scottish Trans.
As a young trans person in Scotland, I know how important it is to have spaces where you feel safe. Last year, I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in History and Politics, and started a project that highlights LGBTQ+ activism at the university and in the city, alongside my dissertation research on archives as spaces of support and activism for marginalised communities. And we see the need to strengthen the support for the trans community not only in history, but also today!
This is my way of giving back to an organisation that works tirelessly to support trans people across the country. Scottish Trans is a project of the Equality Network to improve gender identity equality, rights and inclusion in Scotland
At a time when many of us are facing more and more discrimination, isolation, and uncertainty, especially in sports, organisations like Scottish Trans provide us hope and practical help! I would love to raise both funds and awareness, and show that trans people do have a place in sports, and CAN run a half marathon! And what we deserve is support, visibility, and a future where we can thrive.
