I will be participating in this years Simplyhealth Great North Run 2019 in Newcastle, England. My motivation for completing the run is to raise money for the British Thyroid Foundation which is a charity that supports people suffering with thyroid disease. They also provide information and support on thyroid disorders to increase understanding and awareness. 

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in 2013 whilst at university. I am now back to full health but experienced first hand how demoralising and debilitating a problematic thyroid can be. 

Having completed the Great north run last year whilst also raising over £200 for charity, my aim is to raise over £200 again this year for another charity that does amazing things.
