We fund research and raise awareness to shine a light on Lewy body dementia

Story

In August this year me and my fat old Dad will be undertaking the 192 (ish) mile Coast to Coast walk from St. Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hoods Bay in Gods own county.

We are doing this to raise money for Marie Currie Cancer Care who helped my Dad's Uncle in the last few days of his life so he could be at home and Lewy Body Dementia which is an awful illness which my Grandma has.

Please support us and if time why not join us on one of our days. Our Itinery is:

8th August: St.Bees to Ennerdale

9th August: Ennerdale to Stonethwaite

10th August: Stonethwaite to Grasmere

11th August: Grasmere to Patterdale

12th August: Patterdale to Shap

13th August: Shap to Kirkby Stephen

14th August: Kirkby Stephen to Keld

15th August: Keld to Reeth

16th August: Reeth to Catterick Bridge

17th August: Catterick Bridge to Ingleby Arncliffe

18th August: Ingleby Arncliffe to Great Broughton

19th August: Great Broughton to Glaisdale

20th August: Glaisdale to Robin Hoods Bay

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.
