Story
31st July last year, Catherine Knight, mine and my brothers mother passed away due to this horrible disease. Who would have thought, a few years on from learning about ALS through the Ice Bucket Challenge that she would go on to be diagnosed with MND.

So in memory of my Mum, I have decided to get a team of friends and colleagues together to raise awareness and raise money to help the Motor Neurone Disease Association continue there great work. We will be participating in a 24 hour cycling event around Brands Hatch where we will be racing against rival 8 man teams on 15th September.
We would appreciate any donation you can give no matter how small, it will all go towards helping this charity with much needed funds to help other people who were in the same situation we were in.

Motor neurone disease is a rare condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system. This leads to muscle weakness, often with visible wasting.
Motor neurone disease, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), occurs when specialist nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord called motor neurones stop working properly. This is known as neurodegeneration.
The disease is a rare condition that affects around two in every 100,000 people in the UK each year. There are about 5,000 people living with the condition in the UK at any one time.
