Message from Yue: -
Thanks ever so much for the votes and more
importantly thank you all for your kind donations to Cancer Research UK. I am
going pink in the month of November! Eek!
One more thing to add – I’d like to keep
the donations rolling through November. So, students of mine – you know who you
are. Waat up? I might have stressed a little too much on devoting your time in
reading case laws and reputable text books.... need a little help from you guys
here. I will be grateful for your couple of seconds to donate. Big thanks!
Yue.
End of Message.
Members of the Birmingham Law School have been affected by cancer.
Some of us are friends of those who have had cancer, some have had
family members, some have counselled students who have either had or
known someone who has had cancer. As a result, we've decided to do what
we can to help. We're going to raise as much money as we can for Cancer
Research UK.
We first decided to use our strengths but there was
unfortunately no one to actually sue. So, we turned to other strength -
making ourselves look
ridiculous. We are also banking on the idea that our students will support anything which makes us look silly.
As
a result, my colleagues and I at Birmingham Law School will dye our
hair for the month of November. But we need your help. Each member of
staff has decided on three possible colours (or colour schemes) but we
want to leave it up to you to decide which one we eventually go with.
So, for every £2 you donate, you get one vote. That means if you donate
£10, you get five votes.
The three colours I have chosen are:
1. Pink
2. Green
3. PurpleVoting
is really simple. When you donate money using the website, you can
leave a comment. Simply use your comment to vote by letting me know
which colour you want me to dye my hair. All of the votes will be
tabulated and we'll have an official Hair-Dyeing event at Birmingham
Law School on 1 November, 2010.
Thank you.
Yue.
