Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 18 June 2017, 12 guys from Bradford Moor Golf club are taking part in a charity golf event which involves each player doing 72 holes of golf in one day. To put this in to context we will be walking around 18 miles and playing golf at the same time. It will be a long day!

We have decided to do this event to raise funds for Macmillan which is a charity close to all our hearts as we have all been affected personally by this horrible disease.

Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Macmillan relies on donations from supporters for 99% of their funding. Without donations Macmillan wouldn’t exist.

Here are some examples of how your donations can help:

- £27 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

£132 could fund Macmillan cancer information and support officer for a day meaning more people with affected by cancer would have somebody to answer their questions and talk about their concerns.

£500 could help a father or a mother apply for a grant for childcare during their cancer treatment.

These are just some examples of the great support that Macmillan provide to people affected by this disease. Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
