On the 16th of June, a bunch of us (15 and counting!) are heading away to the woodlands surrounding Drumlanrig Castle, couple hours away from Edinburgh, to spend a better part of the day running cross-country, crawling in mud, scaling insane obstacles and swimming in icy water. There's also electrocution, barbed wire and other attractions involved. The team consists of some of the finest (or silliest?) people from the Balmoral Hotel.

This year, we are supporting Hospitality Health - a Scottish charity that was founded in August of last year. They have the aim of helping the wonderful people of the hospitality industry. In the past several years it has become very clear that the industry has become very stressful, and with stress comes a number of problems, be that poor mental health, gambling addictions and alcohol/drug abuse. Hospitality Health are raising awareness of these problems and working with the Benevolent Society and Hospitality Action to get people the help they need. The Balmoral Mudders would be immensely grateful if you could donate your hard earned money to this worth cause!
