Amy and Sara conquer Holme Moss · 21 February 2019

Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a British institution. It’s a time when people across the country get together and fundraise at home, school and work to support people living incredibly tough lives, and has raised over £1.3 billion to date.

Story

On Saturday 16 March two of our Pre-school team will be attempting to conquer Holme Moss for Comic Relief.

Without the aid of oxygen, we will set off from base camp at Barnaby's and walk (on foot) the 8 miles from the Nursery to the summit.  In an effort to simulate the arduous, fitness sapping conditions an expedition of this type deserves the two "self declared" least fit members of our team have volunteered.  In preparation they have both pledged not to train or visit a gym between today and 16 March.

Our two volunteers are Amy and Sara, those of you who know them will know how challenging walking any further than the local shop is for them so this assault on Mt Moss will devastate them.  For that reason, once they have conquered the summit they will then go the extra mile (or three) back down to The Fleece at Holme.

There is a good reason they are both exhausting themselves scaling such heights and that is to raise whatever funds they can for Comic Relief.
