On Saturday 27th April 2013 the good people of Barnard Castle will be taking part in a sponsored charity walk, followed by a disco and charity auction in aid of Macmillan.

Inspired by our good friend Joe who's mum Sue has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, a small team comprising Marie from 3Ms, Karen, Michael, Neil from Shirl's Shakes and of course Joe & Sue, have assembled to make this really happen and raise as much as we can for Macmillan Cancer Support.  The team is being supported by Michelle Muir from Macmillan.

Meeting at The Hub from 8.30am, walkers will set off at 9.30am taking in the beautiful Teesdale countryside - through Lartington, Cotherstone and back via the Tees, returning to The Hub where the charity raffle will be drawn!  A shorter route is also available for buggys, families with young children, those with restricted mobility and anyone else who just wants to save themselves for the evenings' entertainment!!!

Followed by a fantastic evening disco and charity auction from 7.00pm at the Jersey Farm Hotel where Fabrik will be supplying the disco and Shirl's Shakes will be in attendance!
