Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Michelle was given some very precious extra time following her double lung transplant in November 2017. In this time she set up her own charity 'Crafty Givings' - with the profits Michelle would give to others that were spending time in hospital or with other disabilities. The charity is still kept alive by those she loved. We’d love it if you’d give them a follow on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/craftygiving/

Michelle lost her battle to Cystic Fibrosis in January 2019, leaving behind a fire in our hearts, wondering how we could live a little bit “more like Miche”.

We are a group of Michelle’s friends from Brunel University, and we would love to continue some of the great work Michelle would have done by raising money for the trust that are working to support and advance treatment for others with this condition.

Challenges that we are undertaking include hiking Snowdon and the Amsterdam Half Marathon in October 2019. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

More details to come!

* Update *

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. Within 1 week we achieved our initial target of £500 and therefore have now increased this to £1000. We want to continue to challenge ourselves and make the biggest difference possible. Every little bit of support is hugely appreciated so thank you all!

About the trust: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
