We help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them

Story

Hi, I am Catherine Pritchard, mum to Emily (Year 6) and Hannah (Year 8). I was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer last April and since then have had chemotherapy, successful surgery and am recovering well.

It has been a true journey where I have had unbelievable support from friends, family and the school. I have asked for Bellan to help me organise a wig day because I wanted to raise awareness of cancer and of wigs (I wear one) and to encourage adults and children to ask 'how are you' and not be afraid to say the word 'cancer'. I am keen for children and adults to see wigs as a positive part of recovery!

Hence, I would be really pleased if your child could join in on Wig Wednesday, 25 January 2017, just put a wig on or wear a crazy hair style and if you have a spare pound - pop it in the bucket on your way into school that day. There will be prizes for wigs and a raffle with some great prizes and cakes.

Any donations are towards our goal of raising money to support the work of CLIC Sargent and would be most welcomed too.
