Our beloved Ben James Blatch passed away suddenly on 15th February 2018, at the tender age of 21. He was the life and soul of the family and our world is darker without him. 

Ben had a way of making everyone feel welcome, he could talk for England and if you ever felt down he would have you crying with laughter in no time. His affection for people led to him training to become a teacher, specifically he wanted to work with and help children with special needs and/or disabilities.

Although he is no longer with us, we want to honour his passion and, in his memory, help children with special needs/disabilities from the local area.  

First Step currently works with over 100 pre-school children, and their families, offering education services, support, information and encouragement. Their mission is to provide the best possible environment to support each family and to enable their very young children with special needs and/or disabilities to maximise their individual potential.

We are so grateful for all the help, support, well wishes and love that have already been sent our way.
