We fund research into spinal cord injury to find a cure for spinal injury paralysis

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 10th-11th January 2015, we will be aiming to get 192 people involved in the marathon. This is 4 people every half an hour (filling both the Squash courts - at maximum capacity). This is staff, students, seniors and guests from outside school.

We are really grateful to all those who are going to be taking part and to every single person who is willing to donate . It is a very worthy cause and The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation is a great charity for the money to go towards. We are holding this event to show our support, love and encouragement towards Lara and the Curtis Family.

Recent developments through this particular Foundation restored assisted walking and some sensation to a patient. "Through cell transplantation surgery, followed by intensive rehabilitation over a period of more than two years, the scientists NSIF supports have been able to restore assisted walking and some sensation to one patient" We hope this is the start to a new era of technology regarding the rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries.

130,000: People suffer a spinal injury every year

3 Million: People are living with Spinal Injuries worldwide
