The charity I have chosen to sponsor during the 100k Jurassic Coast walk is the British Heart Foundation. My reason for picking this charity is for my wife and her family. In 2006 my wife's sister Heather passed away due to heart failure at 11 years old. When Heather was 22 months old she had to have a heart transplant due to having viral dilated cardiomyopsthy (enlarged heart). I never met Heather but I can see how her family still struggle with her loss everyday. Heather is always spoken about and very missed. No family should have to go through such a devastating tragedy.
