We help people with hearing loss in Africa to gain access to healthcare & education

Story

As an Audiologist working for both the NHS and private sector I have seen the huge impact of hearing impairment on the lives of adults and children in the UK.

I specialised in Paediatric Audiology and completed my MSc in Advanced Audiology in September 2016 and have always wanted to take my work to those who need it most.

Zambia has a population of around 15 million and there is no current provision for routine hearing screening of children who are known to have a higher than average risk of hearing impairment. I am travelling to Lusaka to work on a SoundSeekers project to deliver this service in the capital of Lusaka.

Your donations can help fund the expense of diagnostic equipment, hearing aids and technology for children identified with hearing impairment as well as counseling tools for parents and families.
