To whom much is given…

You may be aware that I recently visited some students I’m currently sponsoring at Jubilee Senior High School in Ghana. The school was started by the charity AACO in Dampong, a rural village in the Ashanti region

After spending 3 days at the school, I realised that we should be doing more to help these young boys and girls. My girlfriends and I were overwhelmed by how hungry they were for knowledge and full of aspiration for their futures, despite the obvious poverty challenges facing them.

We want to raise £3000 so we can help build a hostel for the students who are currently living under very poor conditions.

Why we are campaigning for a student hostel:

Average journey time for students to get to the school is 30mins – ON FOOT!

Build discipline and routine

Access to decent accommodation and sanitary facilities

Pastoral support on site during the school term

3 square meals a day

Expand their social horizons

Reduce the risk of exploitation

All of which will better enable the students to focus on the key objective for their future success  - their EDUCATION

About the charity

AACO, working in Ghana since 1989, exists to raise funds and apply them for the benefit of the people of Ashanti Akim, for the relief of poverty, sickness and distress, the preservation of public health and the advancement of education. We need your help by donating so we can advance our work.
