Sage Paracon UK

 MJ
Dickson is the Founder and Lead Investigator of Sage Paranormal as well as the Founder of Sage Paracon UK, based in Warwickshire, UK. Her experiences with the paranormal began at a young age and she soon realized that she had inherited her mothers’ psychic abilities. But paired with her military father’s penchant for logic, MJ found that this unusual combination of psychic and cynic lent itself perfectly to becoming a successful paranormal investigator. Those skills soon came in handy when she suspected she was living in a haunted house and wanted answers. Since forming Sage Paranormal in 2011, MJ and her team have investigated numerous locations throughout the UK. Due to their professionalism, and the level of evidence they were able to document, Sage Paranormal is recognized as one of the UK’s most well-known and well-respected paranormal teams.

Don’t let her diminutive stature fool you; Dickson is known to be the one running towards all manner of the unexplained. In fact, MJ lectures at paranormal conventions worldwide, teaching other the risks involved and the basics of investigating. A popular Paracon lecturer, MJ is constantly searching for new and innovative ways of documenting physical evidence of the paranormal. Her book, which is a ‘How to’ guide, introducing the reader to the world of paranormal investigation, as well as basic psychic development, includes a short biography and is due for release in 2017.

MJ explains; ‘I was born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, I relocated to the UK in 2010 on an amazing journey of spirituality and science. My mother has a Psychic gift although for years she blocked her abilities out of fear. Even though she raised us to be very aware that our loved ones were “Always close by”, she would predict deaths in the family as well as other experiences and yet still somewhat sheltered me from it. My father was a military man and taught me that there was a logical explanation for everything although he never questioned my mothers “Abilities”. I had many strange paranormal experiences growing up; little did I know that my mother’s abilities had been passed down. It wasn't until my early twenties that MY abilities began to develop; it was at this time that I began questioning everything. I needed answers. What made me different from everyone else? Why did I have these abilities? How did they work? I am an extremely curious person so once I took part in my first investigation I was hooked. I had to know more. I have been investigating the paranormal for over 7 years now and during this time I have experienced numerous paranormal events as well as been able to document these events using various pieces of equipment and cameras.’

The 8th / 9th October 2016 saw the launch of the first Sage Paracon UK, while Sage Paranormal hosted smaller “Mini” Conventions in the past; they aim to make Sage Paracon UK one of the largest Paranormal Conventions in the UK. Packed with loads of exciting things to see and do, they teamed up with Silent Studios and The Digital Dead Magazine to bring you an event like no other. The event took place
at Wroxall Abbey Hotel and Estate, Birmingham Road, Wroxall, CV35 7NB, Warwickshire, UK.

Sage Paracon UK included international speakers from the most popular
paranormal investigation TV shows the world has to offer (Including “Ghost Adventures” and “Ghosts of Shepherdstown”), 4 mini
museums, and interactive workshops, game shows, 9  live bands Oxjam Music Festival, Zombie Prom Party with entertainment and much more. On top of it all there are several ‘Zones’ and trader stalls included anything from clothing to candles and Psychic readings.

MJ explains how the Sage Paracon UK came about; ‘I have been in the paranormal field for around 7 years now investigating and lecturing etc. Last year November I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and they didn't think I would make it. I was told to stop working immediately and I started a very heavy Chemotherapy regime. Due to my love of the paranormal and all things weird as well as my contacts in the industry, I decided to put the first annual Sage Paracon UK together to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support as well as Oxfam, two fantastic charities. Working on the convention not only took my mind off the treatment but it has given me something to look forward to. I am pleased to announce that my last chemo session was at the end of August and as of the 09th September 2016 - I am officially CANCER FREE. I have survived what a lot of people don't and you can not believe the relief knowing I have been blessed with a second chance.
