Story
We can be Gurkhas..... just for one day!
Update 01/08/2017:
We did it! We hiked 100km in 28hr 13min on our first try! It hurt like hell, and damn it despite best efforts, our dazzling humour and banter gave way to survival and focus as the weather tried to beat us into the ground. After two rounds of torrential rain, hours of fog so thick we couldn't see five feet, and sun so hot that Brendan still got sunburnt we managed to cross the finish line and our 100th kilometre! VICTORY!
---------
Over the course of one pub night, one train journey, one house party, and a dustbin lid full of chicken wings we managed to forge an elite team of idiots who were foolish enough to commit to this task.
They listen to David Bowie, they agree to walk 100km in under 30 hours, and they pay the deposit before they can change their mind!
As a result, Rob, Russell, Ashleigh and Brendan will be hiking 100km in 30 hours in aid of Oxfam. July 28th-29th.
Please give generously, all donations go to Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust, and given the tragedies Nepal has suffered in recent years, the more help received the better.
Update: 03/07/2017:
We've been training and are now almost ready for the big hike. Please give generously, because it's been a hard (but beautifully scenic) slog.
