Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the age of 73 (just under 3 years ago) a routine blood test and subsequent examination showed that I had aggressive prostate cancer (PSA 77).    I had no symptoms.

That simple blood test together with the skill of Mr Sells and the surgical team at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth saved my life.

I did not know then that prostate cancer is a disease that in the UK kills a man every 45 minutes.

The Chestnut Appeal was started at Derriford Hospital but now covers Devon and Cornwall. It's a great charity involved with raising awareness and it funds state of the art equipment to treat the disease.

I hope that you will feel able to support this much needed charity.

Many thanks

Brian
