Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I currently work as a primary SEN teacher. Alongside my current job, I also work part-time in the holidays for Darlington Association on Disability.

This charity promotes the social model of disability and is  led by disabled people to support disabled people.  Within the charity, there are a wide range of services available which support disabled people. Having worked for this charity for a number of years, I have worked within the different services, supporting adults, young people, children and their families.  In the school holidays, the Children and Young people's service run a number of play schemes for children aged 3-18. A range of fun activities and events are planned for the children, including trips to various locations. The playscheme offers an inclusive and safe environment, providing children and young people with exciting, enjoyable and varied experiences and the opportunity to develop new friendships.

With limited services available to support disabled people, this charity makes a significant difference to the lives of many disabled children, adults and families within Darlington and the surrounding areas.

Your sponsors are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
