Story

BRIXHAM ROTARY CURRENT PROJECT - SHELTERBOX APPEAL FOR PAKISTAN

Thanks for taking the time to visit Brixham Rotary's JustGiving page.

ShelterBox was founded by Tom Henderson, a Rotarian and former Royal Navy search and rescue diver.

He saw that the aid response to most disasters was in the form of food and medicine to help people survive the immediate aftermath.

ShelterBox responds instantly to disasters all around the world delivering aid as quickly as possible to the people who need it most. The people in Pakistan are desperate for shelter and the basics.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

In Brixham we took over an empty shop for a week and due to the generosity of local people were able to raise a staggering £3351. This is an amazing amount but we still need more Shelter Boxes to help in Pakistan.

So please dig deep and donate now.
