I have fundraised for this cause previously but it does not get old as a masjid is the best of places. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The most beloved of places to Allah is the mosque,.....” [Sahîh Muslim].

Alhamdulillah, on the 3rd of May 2018, the first salah was prayed there. And taraweeh prayers  and all the obligatory prayers have been held there everyday in this month of Ramadhan. In addition to this, regular halaqas have been held with creche facilities!!!

However, to complete the masjid, we still need £160,000 to complete it and regular donations to run it, so that the masjid is where we raise our children. Aberdeen is my community and we are in need of this masjid that can cater for the entire community. 

There is great reward in building a mosque for Allah’s sake. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim].

I know there are so many great causes out there but please let masjid Alhikmah be one of yours. No amount is too small and remember that the reward this month is multiplied. And also remember the masjid and the local community in your du'as this month and always.
