My twin sister Sandra and I are 60 on 17 March 2017!  My daughter Lisa, is also celebrating her birthday on that day too.  She was born on my 18th Birthday, so you do the maths!  We are celebrating our 60th Birthday at an event on the evening of 18 March 2017 where we will have a fantastic Elvis tribute act, DJ and potato pie supper, attended by many of our special family and friends.

I've racked my brains to think of what gifts I would like for my 60th, and to be honest, there are probably lots of things I could ask for.  While I consider this, my mind wanders to those who really don't have the luxury of presents at birthdays and Christmas time.  I particularly think about those displaced through acts of domestic violence, children and adults.  Domestic violence affects both men and women who live in fear on a daily basis.  They often leave a home with nothing and have to start again from the beginning.  Crossroads Derbyshire go a long way to support these families relying a great deal on donations.

If you are worried about what to buy me, please don't.  I have enough at my age!  Instead, and there is no obligation whatsoever, please could you donate something, however small, and I will ensure that it goes to this very worthy cause.
