Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

CCI staff are going to attempt to push themselves to the very limit by taking on the Three Peaks Challenge

The challenge involves walking the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours and is way out of the comfort zone for the team of first time hikers.

The challenge starts in Scotland at Ben Nevis, which at 1,344 metres, is the tallest of the three.

From there the team will drive south into the Lake District where they climb Scafell Pike (978 m)

The final of the three is the Welsh mountain, Snowdon, standing at no less than 1,085 m.

The group will set off on 4th May 2017, with the aim of raising money for Target Ovarian Cancer, which is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity, who work to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer.

Around 7,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, with members of the CCI team being personally affected by it through the loss of a close friend.  The donations raised will provide vital funds to help continue to provide information and support to them and their families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
