We focus on early diagnosis and awareness to improve survival of pancreatic cancer

Story

In support of Battle Cancer our regular Agents of Chaos team, Tim, Nikki, Sarah & Simon have decided to make a big fundraising effort and raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Action. Want to join us?

Battle Cancer is a non profit charity that organises fun and accessible functional fitness events across the world all in the name of raising money for various different cancer charities. Team Agents Of Chaos are regulars at these events and huge supporters of Battle Cancer.

We have chosen Pancreatic Cancer Action as one of our members (Sarah Sorkin) mother sadly passed away due to this horrible illness. More research is needed to this type of cancer and early diagnosis. The survival rate is less than 1%!

On Saturday 15th June we will be completing 12 workouts in 12 hours (1 workout an hour). The workouts will all be CrossFit benchmark WOD's (workout of the day). These all have girls names because:

According to CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman he named the benchmark workouts after girls (in similar way that storms are named after girls) by the National Weather Service. He felt that because these workouts are so physically demanding that they leave you feeling as though a storm hit you.

So basically they are tough!

Anyone can take part in this, you can do one workout at £5 per WOD or if you are up for the challenge you can join us for all 12 hours for £50. Spaces will be limited as the Chaos Cru will need to start on the hour every hour.

To secure your place, donate here and let us know which WODs you are interested in or if you want to take part in the whole lot!

It will be tough but it should be good fun and filled with lots of laughs with an amazing community!

If you don't want to take part then a donation is greatly appreciated, every penny really does help.
