Fundraising for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity
Story
On the 1st of April 2017 our little one, Cameron James Talbot, arrived at 21 weeks which was just too early into this world. Michelle & I were massively supported by the staff of Rubislaw ward during this difficult time in a suite funded by SANDS-Aberdeen.
As part of the new Baird Family Hospital to be built at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary SANDS have been asked to fundraise for a bereavement suite. Having used these facilities first hand we can honestly say that it is a significant part of the grieving process. We strongly believe in fundraising for the continuation of these essential facilities in the new ward to help families through this tough time and hope that you can donate towards such a good cause.
In the spirit of motivating myself for a cause, I will be running (most of the way!) a half marathon plus (approximately 15miles) starting at 6PM on the 28th of October over 4 hills with a total ascent of 600m in complete darkness in the forest of Glen Tanar near Aboyne.
