This summer will be my 6^th year taking part in the Great North Swim. It’s an amazing event with over 30,000 people taking part. I get splashed, chafed, dunked, kicked, swum over and more but I do love it.

All money raised is for The Y and our young people so please throw a £ or two on there if you can. You can also help massively by sharing around for me. Fundraising challenges like this are an easy way for people to support The Y.

In addition to the hazard of open water swimming across the largest lake in the Lake district, the 5AM start to travel to the venue and various other factors….

You might have heard of Bowness-on-Windermere which is home to its own Lake Monster that lurks in the deep dark waters just waiting to pick one of us off over the Great Swim Weekend.
