Fundraising for Royal Trinity Hospice (London)
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to try to at make sure at least ONE positive thing came out of my diagnosis of cancer.
Trinity Hospice is my local hospice based in Clapham Common, South London. At some point in my life I may well require their services. I thought it would be appropriate to try to fundraise for them whilst I'm still around :-)
Trinity Hospice is a local resource in South London who help people with terminal illness to pass with dignity and support - either in the hospice itself or in their own homes.
Their services give people the choice to stay at home for as long as possible or they will provide specialist care in the hospice if staying at home becomes impossible or impractical.
All their services are provided free of charge.
I've always supported them when they do local events and I regularly donate items to their local shop - however I wanted to ask others to help too.
Turn my cancer into a 100% positive thing and donate whatever you can afford - whether a single pound or more. Every bit helps. I've set the target at just £200 to start........ I thought about this carefully and realised if even 10% of people who visited my blog gave just a single pound, it would soon mount up........ I'm not asking anyone to give more than they can afford or to donate regular monthly amounts, just give a pound or two and help me to support this essential local service.
Maybe this year you could consider supporting them as your 'Christmas Charity'? Or maybe you'd just like to support them to make me feel better :-)
