As I was 'lucky' enough to gain a place in the London Marathon I thought it was appropriate to try to raise money for a charity. I chose Cots for Tots as not only has a friend and her family recently benefited from the support the charity provide at St Michael's Hospital Bristol but also working with children we see a number of children who have support from different Special Care Baby Units. As a family we benefited from a similar SCBU when the birth of one of our daughter's didn't go quite as planned and ironically it is her birthday on the day of the marathon.
