Hi, I have been 'volunteered' to do the GNR for Disability North because I have done it before (twice) but in a wheelchair!

Disability North

Disability North promotes inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people across the North of England. We are a user led charity which works with, and for, disabled people, enabling them to increase the control they have over their own lives.

Story

Thanks to the support from my family, friends and the wonderful skills of Mr Krishna (http://www.spinalsurgeon.com/) and the two operations he carried out in 2012 on my neck and back, I have been able to regain my mobility and, instead of completing the Great North Run in a wheelchair, as I have done previously for Disability North, I will be competing on my feet!

I can't guarantee to run or even jog much of the course. At the moment I can't even walk the distance but hopefully by September I will be able to complete it. My aim will be to get to the finishing line!!!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I will give it my best but I want to reassure everyone that I will be sensible and not jeopardise my health.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
