Just under 10 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was really lucky... The treatment was harsh and I picked up a pretty nasty infection after surgery, but ten years on I have scars and ongoing issues BUT I am still here... and that’s thanks to the NHS and the research done to improve the treatment. Since then I have seen countless ladies lose the battle to Breast Cancer. Some I have known personally and have been left in disbelief that they have gone and wondering why I was the lucky one. So as it is my 10 year anniversary of surviving this hideous disease and to remember sisters that didn’t,  I have decided to join Women versus Cancer and cycle from London to Paris next September. I have barely cycled since I was about 12 so this is going to be a real challenge. Your donations towards the charities would be gratefully received and I aim to raise the actual cost of the ride myself so you can be sure your money will be go directly to the charities.
