Story
Firstly, thank you for your kindness - Back in April 2015, I received the life changing news that I had breast cancer, which had also spread to the lymph nodes. With fantastic support from my husband, family and friends, I travelled the road to recovery.
The journey included medical care from 3 hospitals, 5 Consultants and their teams, numerous appointments, blood tests, mammograms, biopsies, insertion and removal of a PICC line into my heart, chemotherapy, breast re-construction, lymph nodes removal, recuperation, radio therapy and on-going consultants’ appointments.
The good news is ………… I am in remission and gradually feeling better week by week.
We are fundraising to donate to a charity that assisted me during the breast reconstruction stage. The BRA clinic (part of Mid-Essex Hospitals)holds information evenings, where ladies can meet and share their journey. The clinic also provides a bra to wear post operation. Your donation today will assist with the purchase of a microscope £100k and the BRA clinic have raised a third of this amount. They are holding The Butterfly Ball at Stock Brook Manor on Saturday, 22nd October and tickets are still available.
